Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation & Concealer are a part of the Summer, 2016 collection. Available in 10 shades, it offers a match for a good portion of complexions with a variety of undertones.
The foundation comes packaged in a plastic bottle that has a medicine dropper like dispenser. Twisting the cap causes the button at the top of the dispenser to pop up. Simply remove the applicator from the bottle and press the button to dispense. I really like this method as it is neat and sanitary. It also dispenses the perfect amount of product.
The Aqua Glow Serum Foundation, is true to its name. Aqua because it has a runny, watery consistency and glow because your skin will look more hydrated than ever before. The formula is lightweight which is a major pro, especially in the heat.
I have very dry skin and even during the warmer months, my makeup will cling to any dry areas. The Aqua Glow Foundation provides medium to full coverage, with amazing blendability. A dense kabuki brush or even makeup sponge are best for application.
Aqua Glow Serum Foundation is long wearing and its dewy finish lasts as long as you keep your makeup on. I tried out the Aqua Glow Serum Foundation in Medium Tan which is slightly too dark for me but with the help of highlighting with the Aqua Glow Serum Concealer, it all gets balanced out.
To get the most out of this foundation, apply a mattifying primer to your skin (for those with oily skin) first, or a primer oil for those with dry skin.
Stila’s Aqua Glow Serum Foundation is truly amazing. I need coverage along with hydration and it provides both.
Stila Aqua Glow Serum Concealer is available in 8 shades. Packaged in a squeezable tube with a clear, pointed nozzle. It dispenses the smallest amount of product, which is all you need, and you’ll see why.
Slightly thicker in consistency than the foundation, the Aqua Glow Concealer provides medium to full coverage in seconds. Light reflecting properties, provide immediate eye brightening even if you don’t colour correct dark circles first. It has a semi-matte finish which pairs nicely with the bare skin finish of the Aqua Glow Serum Foundation.
Like with most concealers, setting the product is important. Without setting this concealer it would crease on me the moment I finish applying it. After setting it with a translucent powder, it is locked in.
