It is finally DECEMBER 1st! The holidays are right around the corner and the hunt for the perfect present for people on your list can end here. Today I wanted to share with you a preview of December’s Birchbox! For those of you that aren’t familiar with it, it is a monthly subscription box of 5 beauty products that are delivered to your doorstep. Subscription boxes are a great way to sample new and well known products. The contents of the box retail well over the subscription price ($10/month). The idea is for you to find a new favourite product without having to purchase a full size product first.
I got the chance to review December’s Birchbox, and it contained:
Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara: This was one of the first products I spotted and boy was I happy. This is one of my favourite mascaras, I have a whole post on Benefit’s They’re Real Eyeliner and Mascara. It is a sample/travel size but already the value of the box has surpassed the subscription price. This mascara gives you bold, voluminous lashes with absolutely no clumps. The wand combs and fans out your lashes. The full size can be purchased from birchbox.ca for $29.
Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Creme: It contains olive oil, so I was hesitant to apply it after I had just washed my hair. Surprisingly, the styling creme is lightweight with a fresh floral scent. It definitely smoothes and brings shine back into dull hair. The full size can be purchased for $28.
Party Proof Matte Lipstick: In a brown/taupe shade called Get Naked. Mine sadly came smashed into the lid but nevertheless it’s a shade that is suitable for an olive/tan skintone. Although it is matte , it is not the dry, chalky matte but is moisturizing. A set of 3 can be purchased from birchbox.ca for $23.
Crema da Mano-Cleopatra by Tocca:
Is a grapefruit and cucumber hand lotion that absorbs into the skin very fast. It also has shea butter and coconut oil which keeps them moisturized all day long. I found it to be perfect to throw into my bag, now that it is so cold outside and my hands are always dry. The full size can be purchased for $10-$20 on birchbox.ca
Wonder Eye Cream by Balance Me:
Is an eye cream that works to reduce wrinkles and dark circles. I found it helpful with getting rid of the puffiness around my eyes. I will continue to use this to see if it lightens my dark circles. The full size can be purchased for $43.
