I have been coming across many organic makeup brands and love seeing how well they stand up to my all time favourite makeup products, that I use daily I recently had the opportunity to try out a few products from Hynt Beauty, which is a luxury organic makeup and skincare line.
I absolutely love scents, whether perfume, scented oils, candles, fragrant dried flowers. Every room in my home should have its own scent. Just like every season you’re drawn towards a different perfume. Although, I have always looked into scented oils for relaxation, I have never gotten around to it. So I was very excited to try out MYTAO MyOrganic Perfume.
My concealer is my savior. It lets me fake a well rested face, even on the craziest days. Since I recently have been so fascinated with colour correcting, I wanted to take the time to try out a full coverage concealer, that could do the job of a corrector and concealer in one. That product is the heavy duty Rodial Airbrush Concealer.
On mornings when I want to look put together but just don’t have the time to whip out my gel eyeliner and can’t be bothered to deal with lipstick on my teeth. I cheat my way through by focusing on my eyebrows and ditching lipstick for a lip liner. Two such products which have been giving my washed out face life in the morning, are Rodial Glamobrow & XXL Lip Shaper.
If every lotion came packaged this way then I don’t think I’d ever forget to apply lotion post-shower. Vichy’s Ideal Body Aqua Sorbet can help you keep that post shower freshness all day long. Perfect for those who have long days and doubtfully any extra time to re-moisturize their skin. Like all Vichy products, it is hypoallergenic, formulated without the use of parabens and ideal for those with sensitive skin.
Behold one of my favourite brands of lip liners of all time! As mentioned in a number of my posts, Make Up Forever’s Aqua Lip Liner in 3C has been my go to lip base and even lip colour for the last year. It just fit with my tanned skin as well as so many other skin tones. After being obsessed with 3C, I recently got to try out Make Up Forever Aqua Lip Liner in 19C. Another gorgeous universal shade!!
MAC Cosmetics, is literally my first love. With every post I put up on my blog, I somehow end up mentioning or referring a similar MAC product. So it’s no secret how much I obsess over MAC. Especially since they were the very first brand of lipsticks I ever used, which my mom gifted me as a young makeup lover. I regularly keep up with their newest collections and whether I’m in another country or in an airport duty-free shop, I will without a doubt, find my way to MAC. LOL. I recently got to try out a few products from their new Flamingo Park Collection. Consisting of their Powder Blush Life’s A Picnic and Loose Pigments Golden Olive and Tan.
This past January, Joe Fresh made their Beauty line available at Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix stores across Canada. The Joe Fresh Beauty line consists of a large selection of seasonally relevant cosmetic products, each ranging in price from $8–$18.
With all of the tips and tricks we’ve picked up for achieving a flawless makeup application, colour correcting is another major technique. Vibrant colours are added to areas of the face that require coverage to counteract imperfections. Creating a perfect canvas for your makeup. Purchasing all these colour correcting shades can add up and picking the right one is also a task in itself. The Make Up Forever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette seemed like the perfection solution!
I wanted to share a review on some products from Dr. Hauschka’s Spring 2016 Collection with you. Having loved select pieces from their Summer collection, I was really excited to try out these products, that all scream SPRING. For those who are familiar with Dr, Hauschka’s products, their Spring Collection is actually a rediscovery of limited edition products from previous collections. Three products which I tried out are:
I have been on the hunt to find a simplistic skin care duo for quite some time now. I was looking for something that would moisturize my skin without being overly heavy. I have combination skin but during the winter, my cheeks become extremely dry. So you can imagine how challenging it is to find something lightweight (because of my blemishes) but powerful enough to take care of flaking skin. It couldn’t have been better timing as I was given products from Biotherm’s Aquasource Line to try out. Which included their Deep Hydration Replenishing Gel and Aquasource Total Eye Revitalizer.
I have recently become more comfortable with using facial oils, realizing that they don’t actually aggravate my blemishes. I have incorporated them into my skin care especially during this Winter. So when I received the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil, I figured it would have all the great benefits of a facial oil but in a primer form. I imagined a moisturized, radiant face, prepped for a perfect makeup application and went ahead and tried it out.
If you’ve read any of my blog posts regarding eyelashes, you know I’m always looking for the best mascara that adds a ton of length, fiber products that help fake the look of voluminous lashes and lastly a ton of false lashes. I am extremely envious of anyone who naturally has long, dark lashes as I am not so gifted in that department. I have always been interested in using lash enhancing products that have long lasting results. But, I’m just a total wuss when it comes to putting anything in/near my eyes besides makeup. Also, to add to that, most growth serums require prescriptions and I’ve never thought it was worth going and getting. I was thrilled when Nuvalash, a natural lash enhancing serum landed in my hands!
Liquid Lipsticks have been extremely popular and amongst the many brands of liquid lipsticks that are out there, Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks still stands out from them all. Their Holiday Gift sets were everywhere, this past season. Featured on Birchbox, seen at Beauty Boutiques in Shoppers Drug Mart and on the lips of other beauty enthusiasts, I was excited to give the Stila Liquid Lipstick in Chianti a try!
My very first collection of make up brushes consisted of EcoTools Makeup Brushes. Since then I have obviously replaced those brushes with fresh ones but never actually came across any problems with them. They were still going strong. Today I wanted to review a handful of their must-have brushes for you, some which I have been using forever and some new additions which I received to try out.
What better person to try out a nail strengthening formula than someone who used to bite their nails as a child and then grew up only to have brittle nails? That person is me. My nails have been so week in the last few years that if the wind blew, it would probably take my nails with it. Every time I tried to grow out my nails, the smallest incident would tear off my whole nail. In this time I received the Nail HQ All In One Multi Solution Nail Treatment to try out.
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and amongst chocolates, perfumes and all the other gifts, lingerie makes for a great gift idea! I know I don’t stand alone when I say, matching your undergarments is just as important as matching socks. Just makes you feel extra put together. lol. Fate Luxury, a UK based
Brace yourself, you’re going to read the word love a thousand times in this one post. For some time now I have been religiously using the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Imperial Tea, which I recently got to try out and have been OBSESSED. I have mentioned and raved about it to everyone I know and if I haven’t then I’ve been asked what the fragrance was.
Some times things just look better matte! I’ve always been obsessed with matte makeup products, whether eye shadows or lip products. Seeing how many countless releases there have been in the last year of liquid lipsticks, matte lip creams and lipsticks. I was excited to try something a little more simple. It is Smashbox’s Lipstick & Insta-Matte Transformer.
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, everyone is in a frenzy trying to find the perfect gift for their loved ones. I love the convenience of online shopping but the only thing that deters me is expensive shipping and customs charges. Which is hard to avoid since some brands/certain products are just not readily available in Canada. This is why I was ecstatic at the chance to discover Scarlet and Julia, a Canadian Online Shopping site. They are stocked with all of the best brands!
